Born in Copenhagen, educated at Hyper Island in Stockholm, matured in New York and now working at DAN in Paris, Katrine is a well-versed creative bridging the online- and offline world.
Having worked with a variety of clients, ranging from global fashion brands to Scandinavian furniture and German cars and everything in-between, Katrine has developed a healthy understanding of business problems and how to create solutions answering those.
Somewhere between human insights, experimentation with media and delicate execution you'll find most of her solutions, which has resulted in her being responsible for winning almost every industry award, counting Cannes Lions, Eurobest, D&AD, London International Awards, Favorite Website Awards and Euro Effies amongst others.
Besides giving lectures at the Danish School of Media and Journalism, she has judged international shows like Eurobest, Cannes Lions and Art Directors Club - as well as Danish and French shows. In early 2014, she co-founded the Nordic chapter of the global network SheSays, an organization for women in creative and marketing businesses.
She's a firm believer in doing hard things well, in being open towards everything and everyone and - above all - in good food and off-topic conversations.
Senior Creative, DAN PARIS | July 2014 - present
DAN is the digital leg of TBWA Paris. I work on a range of different projects, solving mainly digital challenges for clients like Michelin Europe and Nina Ricci Fragrances.
Senior Creative at UncleGrey | January 2012 - June 2014
At UncleGrey, I worked as a Senior Creative, both from a communicative, conceptual standpoint dealing with advertising in all sorts of media - and with nitty gritty, pixel nudging, web design, UX, wire framing and art direction.
My clients included amongst others ONLY Jeans, the furniture company Bolia.com, The Danish Road Safety Council and the fashion web shop Miinto. In this position, I’ve won more than 20 national and international awards and recognitions, including three Cannes Lions, a Yellow D&AD Pencil and four Eurobest Awards.
Interactive Art Director at TBWA Chiat/Day New York | 2011
As a part of my Hyper Island program, a 3-month work placement period is required in the end of the education. As an Interactive Art Director at TBWA in New York, I spent a lot of time with their storytelling platform projeqt.com, working on new features as well as general UI, UX and design. On top of that, I was involved in conceptual development from a advertising standpoint on both smaller projects and global pitches. I was also involved in developing new business ideas for the in-house product incubator, Pilot.is.
During this period, I worked for the Global Executive Digital Creative Director, David Lee, who chose to project employ me afterwards.
Interactive Art Director Program - Hyper Island | 2010-2011
Wanting to sharpen my digital expertise, I chose to pack my bags and move to Stockholm. Created in partnership with industry professionals, this program covered the entire production spectrum, from strategy and branding to execution, and I found it immensely inspiring to be a part of a very diverse group of people from all over the globe.
Art Director at Grey Copenhagen | 2008 - 2010
While working at Grey Copenhagen, I dealt with advertising in many different forms. My main clients were the Nordic Diet Coke account, The Danish Refugee Council, the painkiller Ipren and the chocolate company Tom’s.
